gesorteerd opFor a price of 599€, this is a really nice board! Everything to get up and running is included. The quality of the board is for me the most important part and after one time paddling, I really feel that this is an A-quality board. The bag and paddle could have been better. Even some cheaper, china iSUP sets have better paddles/bag. Nevertheless I could still recommend this board for stand-up-paddling purposes! Maybe if you only want to do standup paddling, you should get the non-windsurf version which is a bit cheaper. (bron)

In summary, the STX 10’6 Freeride package is a good SUP inflatable package for beginners – the board itself is hard wearing and effective for such a cheap inflatable paddleboard. Its allrounder design and length of 10’6 should see it well-liked by a wide range of paddlers. The rest of the package is of variable quality, namely the bag, which isn’t the best made, nor does it carry very comfortably. On the other hand, the pump and paddle are pretty good, or at least do the job.
Although the package, on the whole, is fairly average, its value is improved tremendously by its low price point. If you want a board at this price point, yes, there are compromises, but the STX 10’6 Freeride board itself is of a good quality with a decent finish. To our mind, STX have been quite clever here; where they have made compromises, it hasn’t been across the whole package, only in the bag, paddle and pump.
That is why we say the STX 10’6 Freeride package is a good starter SUP inflatable package for someone just getting into the sport, and want to see if they like it before committing to a more effective and expensive board. This is the cheapest board we’ve ever offered at the SUP Company – we don’t offer crap, and yes there are cheaper boards still on the market, but we won’t invest our time in them because they don’t represent value for money – which this package does. Er zijn niet onwijs veel reviews te vinden, maar beide reviewers vinden de prijs/kwaliteit prima (en hij kost nu zelfs nog maar de helft) en zeker voor een beginner een prima boardje. Alleen de tas schijnt van mindere kwaliteit te zijn.
